NCOSS Membership

NCOSSBy becoming a member of NCOSS, you will help to improve our ability to ensure that the sector is well informed, articulate, strongly represented and has a high profile with government, media and the general public.

Non-government and not-for-profit organisations based in NSW - and who deliver human services or are involved in community development, policy or advocacy - can apply for full organisational membership of NCOSS.

Individuals and certain non-sector bodies are also eligible to join.

Types of membership

Organisational membership
NGO members receive our quarterly member journal, NCOSS Quarterly, and fortnightly member enewsletter, NCOSS eNews. Substantial discounts for products, services (such as NCOSS Community Jobs listings) and events are also part of membership.

Members are entitled to vote for the NCOSS Board, half of which is elected each year. NCOSS attempts to involve as many organisational members as possible in the various forums and meetings which discuss government policy.

Affiliate membership
Non-sector bodies such as libraries, trade unions, political organisations and businesses are welcome to apply for affiliate membership, as are government departments and services such as schools and hospitals. Affiliates receive NCOSS Quarterly, NCOSS eNews, discounts on services, events and products but have no NCOSS Board voting rights.

Individual membership
If you are supportive of NCOSS objectives you are invited to apply for individual membership. You also receive NCOSS Quarterly, NCOSS eNews, discounts and are entitled to vote for the NCOSS Board.
