Community Services change policy regarding references for NGOs |

NCOSS has been informed that Community Services staff will no longer provide references or referees reports to NGOs tendering or applying for grants from the NSW or Commonwealth Governments. Community Services wish to avoid the perception of providing a benefit to a NGO in a competitive process. Community Services staff will provide, on request, a statement attesting to the fact that Community Services has provided an NGO with funding and that the NGO has met performance and accountability requirements. This statement will not provide an opinion of the suitability of the NGO to receive funding.
