2008 Timetable: NCOSS visits to regional, rural and remote NSW

Between 17 June and 3 July 2008, NCOSS will visit regional, rural and remote areas of NSW to hold general community consultations and consultations with Aboriginal organisations and communities. Aboriginal communities and organisations are also welcome to attend the general consultations.

NCOSS will visit towns in the Illawarra, Shoalhaven, Murray and Mid North Coast regions, including Wollongong, Albion Park Rail, Nowra, Kempsey, Port Macquarie, Taree, Dareton, Balranald and Hay. Details are listed below in date order.

The aim of the visits is to:

Inform NCOSS of issues in regional, rural and remote areas
Inform NGOs of the work that NCOSS does
Build relationships and partnerships
Feed into work on social inclusion and the NSW State Plan
Feed into NCOSS policy and sector development work including the development of submissions to government
