NSW Volunteering Strategy: Discussion Paper PDF Print E-mail

On 13 May 2011, the NSW Premier, Barry O’Farrell, and the Minister for Citizenship and Communities, Victor Dominello MP, announced the development of a NSW Volunteering Strategy. A discussion paper has been released by NSW Office of Communities.

Responses to the issues raised in the discussion paper Developing a NSW Volunteering Strategy closed on 12 August. Online feedback to the discussion paper will be available shortly on the Office of Volunteering website.

Note: Appendix A, “Fact Sheet: Protecting Volunteers and Unpaid Workers From Discrimination” written by Attorney General & Justice NSW. This fact sheet is about possible reforms to prevent discrimination against volunteer and unpaid workers. Note also the question on page 6 related to this issue
