Inquiry into the Provision of Education to Students with a Disability PDF Print E-mail

The NSW Parliament General Purpose Standing Committee No. 2 recently commenced a new inquiry into the provision of education to students with a disability or special needs.

The Committee is currently seeking submissions from interested individuals and organisations. The Committee is looking at:

  • the adequacy of current funding for children with a disability or special needs attending NSW schools,
  • best practice approaches in determining the allocation of funds,
  • the adequacy of current special education places, and
  • the provision of support services to students with a disability or special needs.

 The closing date for submissions is Friday 19 February 2010. Public hearings will be held on 22 and 23 March 2010.
