Following approval by the Federal Minister for Housing Tanya Plibersek, the NSW Government has released the finalised Regional Homelessness Action Plans for the ten regions across the state.

Each plan covers the period 2010-14 and details information on needs and current service provision, summarises issues raised during the community consultation process, outlines regional reform priorities and outlines new projects that are being funded.

In total some 20 new projects have been funded, receiving $40 million out of the funding provided under the COAG National Partnership Agreement on Homelessness.
