| NCOSS 75th Anniversary Conference, 5-6 August 2010 |

2 March 2010 NCOSS will celebrate its 75th Anniversary by holding a Conference from 5-6 August 2010. NCOSS was established in 1935 to promote cooperation in the provision of community services and to influence social legislation. Seventy five years later NCOSS continues to provide an independent voice on social and economic policy issues and is the major coordinator for non government social and community services in NSW. Our vision is for a society where there is social and economic equity, based on co-operation, participation, sustainability and respect. For the 75th Anniversary Conference, in the year before a State Election, it is timely to reflect on our history, learn from the past and consider what the future might hold. NCOSS is currently working on the program for the conference, which will include a diverse range of interesting and informative speakers and topics. Highlights include a hypothetical, a panel of political representatives discussing how their party will be a 'vote for fairness' and representatives from a range of different groups within the community identifying what a 'vote for fairness' means to them.
