NCOSS submission: Response to NSW Parliament's Standing Committee on Social Issues Inquiry into homelessness and low-cost rental accommodation
The Federal Government's Green Paper on Homelessness Which Way Home? was released by the Prime Minister Mr Rudd on 22 May. The Green Paper was developed by an expert steering group comprising Tony Nicholson, Executive Director of the Brotherhood of St Lawrence (chair), Heather Nancarrow, Director of the Queensland Centre for Domestic and Family Violence, and Anna Buduls, a Sydney company director and philanthropist. Submissions on the Green Paper closed on 27 June 2008. The Government will now develop a White Paper setting out its national plan of action on homelessness. This is due for release in September 2008. Further details and copies of the Green Paper are available from the FAHCSIA website.
