Building NGOs - Building Communities
Capacity Building for NGOs
31 May 2001
|
There may be over 6,000 community organisations delivering health, housing, community, employment, aged, disability, youth, women's, indigenous and ethnic services in NSW. Over the past few years, some Governments and their agencies, some businesses and others have come to recognise that a significant investment in the organisational and service capacities of non profit, community organisations, will be to everyone's benefit. Key questions are how best to deliver this investment, and how best to do it in a genuine partnership with the non government, community sector. This one day conference, Building NGOs - Building Communities, provided several examples of practical measures which are now being taken to improve the capacities of non profit, community organisations.
